HC Deb 09 December 1958 vol 597 cc22-3W
Dame Florence Horsbrugh

asked the Prime Minister whether he has any changes to announce in the composition of the United Kingdom delegation to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The Prime Minister

Yes. The noble Lord, Lord, Lansdowne, has resigned his place as a Substitute in the United Kingdom Delegation on his appointment as Joint Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. I have appointed the noble Lord, Lord Lothian, in his place.

My hon. Friend the Member for Armagh (Mr. Armstrong) has also resigned his place as a Substitute Delegate and I have appointed my hon. Friend the Member for Londonderry (Mr. Chichester-Clark) in his place.

These changes will of course apply also to our Delegation to the Western European Union.
