HC Deb 09 December 1958 vol 597 c44W
118. Mr. Sydney Irving

asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the number of business failures in each of the last six months for which figures are available; and how these compared with the comparable period of 1957.

Mr. J. Rodgers

The following is the reply:

showing how many of these have closed down since.

Mr. J. Rodgers

In the past eighteen months the Board of Trade has suggested to twelve firms that North Staffordshire, including Kidsgrove, would be suitable for their proposed development. Nine new factory buildings, exceeding 5,000 sq. ft., are known to have been sited at Kidsgrove since 1945; one of these has since closed.
