Mrs. Jegerasked the Minister of Health what pay claims are before him from workers in the National Health Service; what is the number of people affected by these claims; and for how long each claim has been waiting.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithApart from the claims in respect of doctors and dentists whose remuneration is under consideration by the Royal Commission, the only claim at present before me relates to an unspecified increase for 1,800 engineering craftsmen employed in hospitals and was submitted in June, 1958. Other claims are, of course, in various stages of consideration by the appropriate Whitley Councils.
