§ Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Works what steps he will take to prevent the continued deterioration of Boston Manor House in West London, and to preserve it for the future in view of the historic and artistic importance of this building.
§ Mr. MolsonI am informed that an application from the Borough of Brentford and Chiswick for a grant towards the repair of this building is at present being considered by the Historic Buildings Council for England which advises me on the use of my powers under Part I of the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act, 1953, to make grants towards the preservation of buildings of outstanding historic or architectural interest.
