§ Mr. Lennox-BoydNo. Detainees in special detention camps such as Manyani can be usefully employed on work which the officer-in-charge is satisfied will assist towards bringing the emergency to an end. In practice, however, the only work required of detainees at Manyani is that which is necessary to keep the camp in a state of good order and cleanliness and for the preparation of food.
