HC Deb 21 April 1958 vol 586 c54W
64. Mr. Hastings

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to what percentage of the cattle and sheep now being raised for food in England and Wales hormones are being administered; in what percentage these are given in the feed; and in what percentage by implantation.

Mr. Godber

The figures for which the hon. Member asks are not available. The administration of hormones to cattle and sheep is not practised on any wide scale and implantation is believed to be the more frequent method.
