Mr. F. Willey

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, what translations of Russian scientific journals are regularly provided by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research; and to whom the translations are made available.

At present the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Lending Library Unit receives copies of regular translations of some 24 Russian scientific and technical periodicals. These are available on loan to any organisation in the United Kingdom and a list may be obtained from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research on request.
