§ 56. Mr. Frank Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations he has made to the Roumanian authorities in support of an application made by Mr. Albert German, a British subject, for a visa to enable him to visit his 82-year-old mother in Roumania; and what were the results of these representations.
§ Mr. Ian HarveyHer Majesty's Legation in Bucharest first approached the Roumanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs about this case in July, 1957, when the latter promised to consider it and give a decision. The Legation made a further approach last February, but I regret to say that Mr. German has still received no reply to his application. We shall continue to do what we can to help him.
