§ Mr. Lennox-BoydFigures for the last six months are not available. The estimate of private investment in 1957 from outside interests is £7 million. The ultimate effect of this upon the employment situation cannot yet be assessed, but it is estimated that the construction and exploratory work involved has produced employment for over 2,000 people.
