§ 67. Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent the incidence of tuberculosis has increased in the Seychelles in the last ten years; and what action is being taken to improve diagnosis and treatment.
§ Mr. ProfumoThe available figures do not suggest that there has been any marked increase in the incidence of tuberculosis in Seychelles in the last ten years. The Seychelles Government are nevertheless conscious of the need to improve anti-tuberculosis measures and are considering the practical possibilities of increasing in-patient accommodation, improving out-patient and domiciliary treatment and introducing more effective methods of immunisation.
