§ 91. Mr. J. Harrisonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the City of Nottingham is advertising for a loan of £3,000,000, mainly in order to redeem a 3 per cent. maturing loan, and that it is to pay 6 per cent. on the newly-raised capital; and whether, in view of this transaction, he will make provision so that the local authority may avoid payments of this kind for capital necessary to carry on the city's business.
