§ Mr. Snowasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he is aware that the reductions in exports of cattle on the hoof is not due to Government action but to rises in domestic prices; and whether he will introduce legislation or issue regulations to prevent the present cruelty to animals by restricting exports to those Continental importers who are approved by his Department as observing satisfactory practices in animal welfare.
