§ Mr. Boyd-Carpenter:The Chief Insurance Officer is one of the Insurance officers appointed as independent determining authorities under the National Insurance and Industrial Injuries Acts, and has the same statutory duties as other insurance officers. In addition it is his duty to ensure that information as to the relevant law, including decisions of the National Insurance Commissioner, is available to insurance officers throughout the country, and to handle centrally appeals to the National Insurance Commissioner.
