§ 64. Mr. Weitzmanasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that claims for damages for negligence against a hospital board, which may well succeed upon their merits, are sometimes met by a defence under the Limitation Act; and upon which principle instructions are given to raise or not to raise this defence.
§ Mr. VosperI see no reason to deprive hospital authorities of the protection made available by Parliament to all and they are normally expected to raise this defence wherever it applies.
