§ 99. Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenportasked the Paymaster-General whether he is aware that the great majority of the consumers of gas and electricity in this country are not aware of the machinery available to them to put forward their grievances through the Consultative Councils of the Gas and Electricity 15W Boards; and whether he will give a general direction to these Boards to make available further funds in order to make such councils better known and more effective.
§ Mr. MaudlingWhile I am grateful to my hon. and gallant Friend for drawing attention to the valuable work which these Councils are performing I have no evidence that their efforts to improve their usefulness are being held up by lack of funds.
