An assurance has since been received from the Hungarian Government that 8W they had no intention of making any demonstration against the Legation or of interfering in any way with its work or its contacts with the Hungarian people. The Hungarian Government have stated that Her Majesty's Legation will continue to be given facilities for all normal diplomatic activities.
The most recent report from Her Majesty's Minister at Budapest stated that there had been no further cases recently of persons being detained as a result of visiting the Legation.
