§ 77. Mrs. L. Jegerasked the Minister of Health whether it will be within the terms of reference of the Royal Commission on doctors' and dentists' remuneration to consider the abolition of merit awards.
§ Mr. VosperThe Royal Commission will normally be concerned with levels of remuneration, not with methods as such. Whether or not questions such as that referred to by the hon. Member are within its terms of reference must rest with the Commission itself to decide.
§ 78. Mrs. L. Jegerasked the Minister of Health what arrangements have been made for an interim settlement of the doctors' pay claim, other than for hospital staff up to the grade of registrar.
