§ 72. Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many boys and girls, respectively, in Northern Rhodesia passed their Standard VI tests in 1955–56; and how many of these were able to get places in the secondary schools.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe Northern Rhodesia Government informs me that the following figures are for Africans only. 2,425 boys and 323 girls plus 52 male and 3 female candidates who took the examination externally passed the tests. 399 boys and 95 girls gained admission to secondary schools.
