§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Works if he will give an estimate of the total amount spent by the nation, in the latest 12 months for which the facts are available, on building work and works of civil engineering, including roads, docks, coastal protection, etc., and including all expenditure by Government Departments, local authorities and others, either separately or collectively in England, Scotland and Wales.
§ Mr. MolsonIt is estimated that £2,070 million of building and civil engineering work was carried out in Great Britain in 1956.
