§ 69. Sir D. Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much was spent by the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board in 1956 in making connections from the mains to the homes or premises of consumers; and how much was recovered from the applicants.
§ Mr. MaclayI am informed by the Board that in 1956 it spent approximately £1 million on new distribution in rural areas. It received £182,000 by way of capital contributions, of which approximately £50,000 was in respect of supplies to private individuals.
