§ Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how frequently officers of the Government of the Seychelles are granted leave; and how mony officers in the last six months have been unable to take their leave, and for what reasons.
§ Mr. ProfumoNormally, senior officers qualify for leave after two to three years' resident service and junior officers after three to four years' service. As in other overseas territories, any officer may be required to postpone his leave in the public interest. I am asking the Governor for information on the second part of the Question and will write to the hon. Member later.
