HC Deb 22 January 1957 vol 563 cc21-5W
Sir H. Linstead

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will now state the major building works at each university intended to be started in the next three years.

1959 Mr. P. Thorneycroft

The attached list of major schemes has been supplied by the University Grants Committee. The programmes for the last two years may still be subject to some alteration.

Certain very large projects are authorised in successive stages. Each stage constitutes a virtually self-contained section which can be used independently of the remainder of the project.
