§ Mr. AlportAs the hon. Member was informed by my right hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Chelsea (Commander Noble) on 2nd August, 1956, the Government of Southern Rhodesia invariably consult the Secretary of State before introducing any legislation which might fall within the scope of Articles 27 to 32 of the Constitution Letters Patent. The question of reservation has therefore not arisen. Consultations between the Governor and the Secretary of State are confidential and it would not be proper to disclose their content.
