Mr. Haleasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies in what circumstances, for what reason, and by virtue of 94W what enactment, persons convicted in the Colonies of offences against emergency regulations in such Colonies have been brought to the United Kingdom to serve their sentences of imprisonment.
§ Mr. ProfumoThe only such persons brought to this country are certain convicted terrorists from Cyprus. In regard to the circumstances and relevant enactment, I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for St. Pancras, North (Mr. K. Robinson) on 22nd November, 1956.
