asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will make a statement on the result of the conference on the Federal Capital Commission, now taking place in Jamaica.

Mr. Profumo

The Standing Federation Committee, which has recently been meeting in Jamaica, considered the Report of the British Caribbean Federal Capital Commission and has chosen Trinidad for the capital. The choice of the precise site in Trinidad will be made later.
