§ Mr. Prydeasked the Secretary of State for War if he will institute a full scale inquiry into the loss of two soldiers of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, 59W and the serious wounding of six others in the Aden Protectorate on Sunday, 3rd February; and what steps are to be taken to punish those responsible.
§ Mr. HareI have called for a full report on this incident but, on the facts available, I see no reason for an inquiry. The Government of Aden have already taken steps to punish the tribesmen responsible. I should like to express my deep sympathy with the relatives of the soldiers who were killed or wounded in this regrettable incident.
