HC Deb 05 February 1957 vol 564 c33W
65. Mr. Mikardo

asked the President of the Board of Trade the maximum capacity of turbo-generators the export of which to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Eastern Europe is now permitted.

Mr. Walker-Smith

There has been no change since the Answer given to the hon. Member on 22nd November, 1955. The embargo operates at 60,000 kilowatts and over. Between 5,000 and 60,000 kilowatts, exports may be licensed within quantitative limits. At less than 5,000 kilowatts exports are free.
