HC Deb 05 February 1957 vol 564 cc35-6W
76. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of a recent case of a conviction for failure to license the possession of a dog in temporary custody although the owner had a licence; and whether he will introduce such legislation as will protect those responsible for boarding kennels, dog homes and hospitals, dog shows, etc., from the necessity of obtaining licences for dogs temporarily in their care.

Mr. P. Thorneycroft

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Portsmouth, South (Sir J. Lucas) on 31st January.
