HC Deb 04 February 1957 vol 564 c17W
129. Mr. T. Brown

asked the Paymaster-General if he is now in a position to say whether he has approved the schemes, submitted to him as far back as November, 1956, by the Electricity Board, which deal with increase in pensions to those who were transferred to the Board on vesting day.

133. Mr. Elwyn Jones

asked the Paymaster-General why there has been so much delay in approving the Central Electricity Authority's proposals to increase the pensions payable to pensioners of former local authority undertakings; and whether he will now provide for those increases to take effect from a date not less favourable to the pensioners concerned than that provided under the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1956.

139. Mr. Palmer

asked the Paymaster-General when the comprehensive scheme for improved pensions in the electricity supply industry submitted last autumn to the then Minister of Fuel and Power by the Central Electricity Authority will be approved.

Mr. Renton

The Central Electricity Authority's proposals are still under consideration and I have already stated that a decision will be given as soon as possible.
