§ 49. Mr. D. Howellasked the Minister of Health to what extent the statement of the Parliamentary Secretary to the House on 8th February, 1956, in regard to the propriety of the Minister interfering with the decisions of a Whitley Council still represents the policy of his Department; and how far this policy has now been modified.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI do not dissent from the statement which must of course be viewed in the context in which it was made. It related to a situation in which a disagreement between the two sides of a Whitley Council was at the time before the Industrial Court for arbitration.
