HC Deb 04 December 1957 vol 579 c44W
61. Mr. Dodds

asked the Secretary of State for War, in view of the satisfaction expressed with the mid-day meal menu for Service men at the Royal Artillery Depot, Woolwich, on Tuesday, 19th November, comprising a choice of 40 dishes, how often this standard is to be repeated at Woolwich; and what action is being taken to ensure that a similar standard is enjoyed at all other Service depots.

Mr. John Hare

The commanding officer and his staff intend to keep up the present high standard of catering at Woolwich. The system in use there is being developed by the school of the Army Catering Corps to see whether it may be suitable for other large establishments. It can only be used where there are very large numbers in mess.
