§ 91. Mr. Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that, since the middle of 1954, some 1,200 company-owned petrol stations have been built at an average cost of£25,000 each, and that this total sum of£30 million is equivalent to an additional 2d. per gallon 30W on the petrol sold during the same period; and what amount of this£30 million was allowed by the Treasury for tax purposes.
