§ 81. Sir T. Mooreasked the Lord Privy Seal what plans Her Majesty's Government have in mind for the future use of the Nash Terraces in Regent's Park.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerI have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland (Mr. Grimond)on this matter on 25th July.
§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Lord Privy Seal what proposals the Crown Estate Commissioners have to demolish some of the best examples of the work of the famous architect Nash, around Regent's Park; and to what extent it is their policy to maintain the facades and have modern flats constructed behind, as has been done in Eaton Square.
§ Mr. R. A ButlerThe new Board of Crown Estate Commissioners is carefully considering the future of the Nash terraces around Regent's Park but no decisions have yet been taken. My hon. Friend can rest assured that the possibility of building modern flats behind the existing facades has not been overlooked.
