HC Deb 10 April 1957 vol 568 cc145-6W
Mr. G. M. Thomson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he has made to the representations of the Educational Institute of Scotland on the subject of increased family and dependants' allowances.

Mr. P. Thorneycroft

A reply was sent to the Institute informing it that its letter would have my consideration. The hon. Member will have seen from my Budget statement that one of my proposals for tax relief is designed to benefit parents whose children are receiving full-time education.
