HC Deb 03 April 1957 vol 568 cc60-1W
Mr. Edward Evans

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Education whether he is aware of the concern of the parents, residents and of the parish council of Hopton on Sea, East Suffolk, at the lack of amenities in regard to sanitary, lavatory and playground conditions at the village school; what representations have been made to him concerning these; and if he will make a statement.

Sir E. Boyle

I have received from the hon. Member a complaint sent to him by one of his constituents. While my noble Friend cannot yet authorise major building projects solely for the replacement of bad old schools, he has already arranged for his officers to discuss with the East Suffolk local education authority other possible ways of improving the situation at this school.
