§ 73. Major Beamish
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to make a statement about the future status and treatment of 98W non-Germans who suffered Nazi persecution, saying what progress has been made towards getting the German Federal Government to amend the existing legislation so as to ensure that the compensation of persons of Allied nationality who were victims of National Socialism is satisfactorily settled.
§ Lord John Hope
Her Majesty's Government have not yet received the reply of the Federal Government to the proposal that a Working Group be set up to see how satisfactory provision might be made for compensation to those victims of Nazi persecution whose cases are not apparently covered by the new German legislation.
