§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerThe Swiss Government, who are acting as protecting Power in Damascus for Her Majesty's Government's interests, have instructed their representative to inform the Syrian Government that Her Majesty's Government hold them directly responsible for the damage to the pipeline and for causing the flow of oil to cease and also call on them to take the immediate action necessary to repair the damage done. No reply has yet been received from the Syrian Government.
