HC Deb 09 May 1956 vol 552 c105W
Captain Kerby

asked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that new employees, entering his Department during the war as potential skilled workers from Government training centres were told that throughout their training and after their acceptance into the full craftsman grade they would be serving the country in its war effort, but were not given any information indicating that they would be registered as dilutee labour; and whether he will remove from the list of registered dilutees under the Relaxation of Customs Agreement those men whose employment by the Department was in strict conformity with the Department's pre-war custom and on whose behalf no existing custom needed to be relaxed.

Mr. Birch

The answer to both parts of the Question is "No"
