§ Mr. Mawbyasked the Postmaster-General whether he will now say what the recently foreshadowed new parcel-post charges will be; and whether he has now decided to increase the maximum compensation payable for unregistered parcels lost or damaged in the post.
Dr. HillYes. The new charges which will start on 1st June, are shown in the following table. From the same date, the maximum compensation payable for the loss or damage in the post of an inland unregistered parcel will be increased from £3 to £5.
