Mr. AmoryUnder the Agreement made with the Irish Republic for supplies of pigmeat in 1951 my Department has been the sole importer of pork and bacon from the Republic. The Agreement expires on the 30th April. 1956, however, and after that date the trade in pigmeat from the Irish Republic will revert to private hands.
