asked the President of the Board of Trade how far the sales of canned and deep-freeze vegetables in the last twelve months showed an increase over the previous year; and what was the amount.

The quantity of manufacturers' sales of home production of canned vegetables rose from 384,900 tons in 1954 to 406,300 tons in 1955.

No other figures of sales are available, but the figures for home production and retained imports of canned and deepfreeze vegetables are given below
