§ 95. Mr. Osborne
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the fact that China has a substantial 146W credit trade balance, both with the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, and is prepared to spend this surplus sterling on heavy lorries and heavier agricultural equipment, such as heavy tractors, he will now take immediate steps to lift these items from the embargo list, and so help to maintain full employment at home through greater exports.
§ Lord John Hope
I have nothing further to add to the reply given by my right hon. and learned Friend to the hon. Member for Northfield (Mr. Chapman), on 19th March.
