asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what protest he has made to local authorities in the southern zone of Vietnam regarding the holding of a general election in a part of Vietnam, contrary to the Geneva Agreements.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

The recent election in South Vietnam was in no way contrary to the Geneva Agreements and Her Majesty's Government have naturally made no protest.
