§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeFrom 1st January, 1946, to 31st December, 1955, the nearest convenient dates for which figures are available, 75,010 certificates of naturalisation were granted in the United Kingdom to aliens and 22 to British protected persons. The corresponding numbers of certificates granted in British possessions were 8,204 and 3,302. These figures include the following:
