§ Mr. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the National Coal Board has asked the permission of the Glenrothes Development Corporation to display notices asking tenants in the new town to take in miners as lodgers; and, in view of this, if he will give urgent reconsideration to the policy involving a cessation of all new house building in the town.
§ Mr. J. StuartI understand that this arrangement is a purely temporary one designed to give miners from outside Fife an opportunity of seeing Glenrothes before deciding whether to transfer. As regards the second part of the Question, I am keeping the whole position under close review.
