§ 63. Mr. W. J. Taylorasked the Minister of Labour what instructions are issued to factory inspectors regarding the giving of notice to factory occupiers of intended visits; and whether he is satisfied that these instructions are being carried out.
§ Mr. CarrInspectors are instructed that they should not, except in special circumstances, give advance notice of an intended visit. As a general rule, all visits should be surprise visits. I have every reason to believe that these instructions are being fully carried out.
