§ Mr. de Freitasasked the Minister of Health what reply he has made to the letter dated 30th May from the National Health Service Executive Council for the city of Lincoln suggesting the abolition of charges to old-age pensioners who receive services under the provisions of the National Health Service Acts.
§ Mr. TurtonI have explained to this Executive Council that old-age pensioners and any others who can show that they are unable to meet the charges can already get help from the National Assistance Board; and that I do not consider that any change in the existing arrangements would be justified.
