asked the Minister of Health how many doctors and dentists at present engaged in the National Health Service will be eligible for pensions on 3W retirement in 1958 on the tenth anniversary of the scheme; and what proportions they are of the total numbers of doctors and dentists in the scheme.

About 3,500 doctors and 1,500 dentists representing approximately 14 per cent. and 17 per cent. respectively. These figures do not include doctors and dentists employed full-time in hospitals.
