§ Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has now received the Report of the Advisory Panel on the Highlands and Islands on the petition of the North Isles of Orkney Association; what recommendations the panel make; and what action he proposes to take.
§ Mr. J. StuartI have placed a copy of the Report in the Library. The Panel make various suggestions in regard to shipping services, transport charges, basic services and movements of population. Some of these they propose themselves to follow up; in regard to the others, I am in communication with the County Council and the other interests concerned.
