HC Deb 15 February 1956 vol 548 c273W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will give the earliest consideration to removing or amending the regulations which are holding up the matter of widening the Strand, including the forecourt of Charing Cross Railway Station, so that this long delayed essential improvement can be carried out as quickly as possible.

Mr. Watkinson

I understand that the London County Council propose to seek powers in their General Powers Bill to enable them to obtain possession of that part of the forecourt of Charing Cross Station which is required for the road improvement.
